Advantages and disadvantages of living in Hungary

Hungary — located in the heart of Europe a country with a warm climate and friendly people. Here nice and interesting to visit as a tourist, visiting beautiful Budapest sight-seeing and enjoying the beauty of local nature. But many of this country attracts not as another tick on the tourist map, but as a place of permanent residence. Immigration to Hungary is not very simple, but remembering emigrazione the laws of other European countries, its also not called. We collected some materials about features of life in Hungary.

The advantages and benefits of living in Hungary:

  • Soft and predominantly warm climate, no severe cold and tropical heat. Beautiful and rich nature.
  • The total tolerance, non-discrimination of immigrants.
  • Good geographical location of the country — hence very convenient to travel throughout Europe.
  • Hungary is in the Schengen area, which allows the resident of a country to travel around Europe without any problems.
  • The lack of a huge difference in the mentality of Russians and Hungarians, and, as a consequence, the lack of culture shock after moving.
  • The opportunity to purchase the property at a legal entity but for themselves personally. However, now these opportunities are severely cut under the new law.

Minuses and disadvantages of living in Hungary:


  • Challenging the state language. Really difficult. But to teach it will have — without it, opportunities will be severely limited.
  • The high level of bureaucracy. To open a company in Hungary, for example, is not very difficult, but all further actions conduct of business will require huge amount of paper maintenance.
  • The General slowness of the Hungarians. At the conclusion of the business transaction, the negotiation process and signing the papers may take months, and business partners will never agree to solve even the most urgent questions after hours.
  • Without a good knowledge of the Hungarian language will not be able to find a good job, even if you own, for example, English.
  • During his stay in the country the status of residence permit required to stay in the country for at least ten months of the year.

The cost of living in Hungary is lower than the European average. In large cities the prices are slightly higher than in rural areas; local a little cheaper goods imported from other countries.
